    What are they?

    My guesses:

    Jamie: Jaeger, no chaser
    Tony: Vodka tonic
    Jay: Top shelf tequila
    Dan: a fine IPA
    Mike: rum and coke

This makes me want to find out if I'd like a fine IPA. I'm sure I've had one before, but nothing's coming to mind. This doesn't seem like the kind of thing I want to on the fence about. I'll let you know.

    Here's the revised list

    Me: Shiraz
    Jamie: Jose Cuervo
    Tony: Jack & Coke
    Jay: Cosmo
    Mike: Manischewitz

I usually hate beers where you taste the humulus (or hop... or whatever it is in English) too much. Which is why I'm not a big fan of IPAs as they usually have a lot of it.

I usually prefer strong semi-dark beers and some darks ones. Whether it's German Dobbelbocks, Belgian Trippels or older and stronger English Ales, depends on the mood and situation.

    Some of my favorite beers:

    http://ratebeer.com/beer/traquair-jacobite-ale/5711/

Even though I'll drink most beers and enjoy them, but I usually try to stay away from the beers, like IPAs and most bitters, where you taste the hop too much.

    My dear fellows,

Some of the most tasteful beers are:

    - Hoegaarden (Belgium)
    - Grolsch (Dutch)
    - Warsteiner (German)
    - Hertog Jan (Dutch)

try it sometimes, may you find it on your path toward fine inebration!

I whole heartedly agree. Hoegaarden is not only tastey, but humorous too!
