Mastering approach

Was wondering about this and with the new album in the pipeline seemed like a decent time to ask about it.
What sort of approach will the mastering of the new album take with regards to dynamic range?
Clearing the channel is one of my fave bits of music but it is a very *loud* recording which can be a little full on for my tastes, especially as imo your sound would benifit greatly from a bit more range.
Anyway hope that doesn't tread on anyones toes or if the question has been asked before! -
I'm not even sure who's gonna master the record, let alone what the approach will be. But we've definitely had some discussions about the sound of Clearing the Channel and how we might do something different this time around. Obviously we want to do whatever serves the individual songs, but we have talked about trying to go for a lot more variation in sounds/tones this time around. That could mean using a lot of different guitar amps, using more than one drum kit and probably a good bit of experimentation as to how we actually capture all the sounds.
We'll probably have a better idea of what the mastering approach will be once we actually get some stuff recorded. -

I'm only referring to the entire set of music that you listen to that is excluded from my listening tastes. -

I pretty much agree with that. I think the reason is a combination of control and empathy. Control is a pretty cut and dry reason. "Hell yeah, she swallowed my seed, I'm so cool." But I think empathy plays a role too. If the girl feels the need to spit it out, or make you put it on the TV or something, that sort of thing implies that she doesn't like it and finds it gross. So the simple mind (because that's what your mind becomes when you're engaged in sex, I couldn't name the days of the week) will make the distinction that spitting = she doesn't like it, swallowing = she does. If she does like it, it makes it more enjoyable. -

I do agree with that, but I also think that there are plenty of other options than just spitting or swallowing and if she doesn't like it, she can be smart and just tell me and I'll try not to cum in her mouth. Like I said, it doesn't really matter to me where I blow my load.
But yeah, spitting isn't cool. Sometimes it's acceptable, though.
