The Sinch Forum is back! It looks a lot different but all posts and users were imported from the old forum so everything should be right where we left it.
Magnatune

    I don't know if Sinch has heard of this label, but since they are totally awesome I thought I'd mention Magnatune, a non-evil online record label.

    They have a page dedicated to why they're not evil. And I think, at least from a user's perspective, they're not.

    Anyway, if I recall correctly Sinch is a fairly independent band, so I thought you guys might check it out.

    Yeah, if we were going to sign with a label, they'd definitely be one of the first ones to consider. As of right now though, the plan is to release the new album ourseleves.

    For you guys that basically means pretty much the same thing as it would if we released it on Magnatune (no DRM, high quality, etc) except that 100% of the price goes to the band instead of only 50%.

    One thing we haven't really talked about is having a "you-pick-the-price" system, which is apparently how Magnatune works. And now after seeing Radiohead do something similar with their new album, it seems like it might be the way to go. We'll see what happens.
