You're not even on the list, England, you know, fish, chips, cup 'o tea, bad food, worse weather, our best landmark is a building with a clock on it, yellow teeth with overbites, we lost to you in two major wars and then needed your help in WWII limeys.

Hey hey Aerock, lets be honest here. The winter Olympics is a load of shit, and we're all too interested in football and rugby here to be too bothered about losing medals in that.

I'll be honest i've barely watched it, and i own all my own teeth and don't even have a cavity or a filling ;) And they're lovely and gleamingly white.

As for the WW's you had to get invovled in number 2, the Japanese went nuts. But lets not split hairs, we did genuinely crack the Enigma code but you had to re-write the history in a hollywood blockbuster to say that you did.

But it's alright, yellow teeth vs blocked arteries isn't too bad a trade ;) i'd rather drink tea which is extreemely good for you than stink of coffee. I quite like my stronger currency, and a higher Adult literacy rate and Education, smaller poverty margins, fewer gas emissions and driving round roundabouts (which are fun btw)

Germany still pwns you. The germans rule us all with their hairy arm pitts and their saurkraut.

However, Brazil pwns us all with their natural alternative to Oil, and Ronaldo's teeth.

We got into WWII to fight Japan, but we didn't get into Europe until it was immenent that Germany was going to take over England next, as they had no chance against them alone. We bailed you out.

Considering how fast Hitlers regime was spreading you had no choice. Once established the Nazi regime and the Japanese would've taken you on together.
You didn't bail us out, you went to war based on your own objective and you helped win it for the greater good.
I get a bit tired of that card being pulled, America is considerably larger than the UK you have a bigger population than we do. Naturally you have more resources and man power than we do.
You are a former colony of Great Britain it is natural that we align ourselves together.

Although, it still doesn't stop the British Armed forces being the most highly trained and skilled globaly. And it definately doesn't dissmiss the fact that regardless of how much a superpower you seem to be you still needed our backing with the Facade on terror and occupation of Iraq etc.

I don't envy America, your currency is weaker. Adult literacy rate appauling, gun crime out of control, obesity rates and related problems souring, and a monkey for a president.

    I really don't.

And yes our own Prime Minister is an utter goon, i certainly didn't vote for him. And i don't for one second think that Britain is a shining Beacon of Democracy or even a decent example. But we've done the world domination bit and we're in a very comfy possition in the world leadership heirachy so i can't complain.

When i initialy replied to you my comments were in jest to mirror your own Aerock, and i'm quite baffled that you've seemed to take them seriously.
If you haven't then you get my apologies.

But i'll tell you one thing

Both of our countries will be inferior to China when they step up as the next superpower, and when the oil runs out we both bow to the Middle east, Brazil and Sweden too. Because both of our countries will be on our knees when that happens.

I'm not ashamed to be British not at all, i live in a country thats history has affected the entire globe and is still in the forefront of countries with global power. Can't say it's too bad here, definately wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It's a pretty tolerant country, and i would definately get a rougher time in the US if i lived there, especially because of my ethnicity.
The only other place i'd like to live would Maybe be to the Caribbean because it's relaxed and sunny, and i would only move to a British Colonial island if i did.

    Well put, Curls.

I never was intending to offend or say that America > Britain (except in medals this year :-p). America wouldn't have defeated Germany without Britain, and vice versa. That's all I was really saying. I wasn't even being serious, I was just saying why we got into war in the first place, and then that we (and Canada) came over to help out. I don't disagree with anything you said either.

That said, America is in a world of hurt right now and there's a lot of things wrong with us. We've been through some tough times before, so I'm just holding my head in hopes the next FDR will lead us out of this misery.

Hulk Hogan 2008. He's a real American . . . with 27 inch pythons. OPEC would have to drop oil prices for fear of him "hulking up" and dropping an atomic leg drop on them. The only terrorist attacks we'd have to worry about would be from the Macho Man.
  • AerockAerock February 2006
I'm actually rooting for Dennis Haysbert to officially change his legal name to "David Palmer" and run for President.

If you haven't seen 24, then you wouldn't understand.

    Ok Aerock, no harm done.

I hope your country can sort itself out, but i have little hope. Bush is living through his son who's a monkey and unfortunately when America sneezes the rest of the world Catches a cold.
I would hate to be American, and live under the current GVT. I really would, and i feel an immense sympathy for everyone living in America who feels the way you seem too. I didn't vote Blair in because i think his time is long since been up and i am not a Labour supporter anyway because they are practically the conservatives. In fact in Britain the Conservatives seem to becoming far more left while Labour sours to the right.

Our country is being overhauled in ways i never thought i would see, our country is ran by muppets who are laying down all sorts of laws to try and tidy up the Mess they have made.

I have NEVER know racial tension to be at the level it is now, Islamaphobia is Rife and the European Media is provocative. They've taken the entire situation by the reigns and they're steering us in to even more mayhem.

Haha. I just wanted to comment on how funny it was when that American snowboarder chick tried to pull off a trick on the last jump and fuckin stacked it. BWAHAHAHA. That is pure 0wnage. That should be on some Mastercard Priceless ad if they still have them.

Let's be honest here, if you don't play the proper version of football then you can't really be considered a proper country.

And having a retirement league for the world's footballers to get a sweet last pay day doesn't count.

And Freddy Adu isn't the best teen footballer in the world, that fat mongoloid from Croxteth is.

    Anyone (everyone) lost yet?
  • Very much so... but i'm like that all the time :P
  • tsnuftsnuf April 2006
I followed you until you got to the mongoloid from Croxteth part. Say what?!

    and Adu is waaaaay overrated.

The MLS is getting better. but it's still pretty sad to watch. I'm a half-hearted Galaxy fan, just because its the first time I've been able to have a "local" team.
