The Sinch Forum is back! It looks a lot different but all posts and users were imported from the old forum so everything should be right where we left it.
I thought there might be some Ozzfest fans here, so I thought I would check-out this site and introduce myself.
I use to hang out on the Ozzfest board going back to the "Threshold" days. It sooo kicked a**! There were a lot of good times, but I can't get there anymore.
I've been to the last five Ozzfests, usually in Ohio. I wouldn't miss one for the world.
Whats up Wizard! Welcome to the boards, I guess I would be an Ozzfest fan (I'm into most of the bands that have been on the Ozzfest stages over the years) but being situated in the South Pacific Ocean makes it hard This years Ozzfest would have been badass! Rob Zombie, Soilwork, Shadows Fall, In Flames, The Haunted, Maiden. What year was best? '97 or '98 (can't remember which one) looked like a good year: Machine Head, Pantera, Fear Factory. Oh yeah, that woulda been sweet.
Thanks for the greeting! Woah, the South Pacific? Yeah, I don't remember seeing an Ozzfest tour-date in your area
I've been to the 2001- through 2005 Ozzfests. It's hard to say which was the best. For me they all are unique in there own ways. I always plan ahead and get a front row, or mosh pit, ticket from the brokers. It costs a little more but it's worht every cent. Ozzy always dunks his head in a bucket of water and then throws it on the crowd. I've been drenched a few times. Last August was the first time I ever took a camera in and took some pictures. I got some great shots up at the stage. Security was pretty cool about it until Ozzy came out and then it was a whole new ball game. After they threatened to kick me out twice, I quit. But I got three of four good pics of Ozzy. He posed for me three times, once smiling for me, and the other time he pointed at me and smiled, and then he put his hands on his hips and gave me a dorky look, then he laughed at and pointed at me and dropped his pants and pointed his a** at me, then he turn, pointed and smiled, and went on with the show. That made my day! If I can ever find a way to post pics, I could show you some of them. Three years ago was a good one. Manson popped this cork off of a bottle of champaign and hit me with it. I still have it. John 5 gave me his water bottle after the set. Tom Araya (or however you spell it) and Perry King of Slayer were playing in my face, BLS and other too. Oh, there was this huge moth flying in front of Ozzy. He snatched it out of the air and put it in his mouth, then he opened his mouth back up and it flew out. He did it right in the middle of a song. It was almost like it was planned, was so funny! Every year is different and full of surprises. Two years ago there was this stoned chick, in the pit, leaning on the stage. She pulled out here boobs and started sucking on one while jiggling to the music. Was so funny! You see it all as the day goes on. After around 5:00PM everyone is getting pretty wasted and it only gets better. I've seen people carried out on stretchers, in hand cuffs, fights, oh, and a lot of top-less chicks as the day goes on. Last year I was half dead by the time I got to the Pittsburgh Ozzfest. I hadn't slept in three days. I hit three states in three days. Anyway, before I even got out of my truck, there were these two chicks, two cars down, making-out, + in the parking lot. I knew it was going to be a good day:) I always went with this girl who was a very close friend. I knew her since her childhood. I lost that person, she's gone. I'm hoping it won't ruin future Ozzfest for me. I'm still planning on going (I think) but it's gunna be rough, and sad, knowing she's not there, and is gone forever. Death can kiss my a**! Anyway, I'm at work so I better get going. This place gives me a pay check but then they want something in return. Can you believe that!?
